Data Sharing Policy

Sharing the data upon requests by the readers brings many advantages. It enables reuse, increase citation of your research and enhances your collaboration. The Journal of Chitwan Medical College also encourages its authors to share the data and other research work supporting the results in the paper by archiving it in an appropriate public repository. We strongly encourage that data generated by their research that supports your article be made available as soon as possible, wherever legally and ethically possible. Authors may provide a data availability statement, including a link to the repository they have used, in order that this statement can be published in their paper.
Open access applies to both the scientific literature and the data used to establish that literature. Publication is contingent on making data integral to a manuscript freely available without restriction, provided that appropriate attribution is given and that suitable mechanisms exist for sharing the data used in a manuscript and that in the case of clinical information patient confidentiality is not compromised.
To ensure the preservation, usability, and accessibility of content for long-term availability, there is a need for digitally depositing the published data, called archiving. Our journal is archived in LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, ensuring that it will be secure and available in the future.
